Complementing the government's efforts in improving the living standard of the people of the village, by supporting the socio-economic development projects through the community participation
1. To help young people especially but not exclusively through educational, recreational and sporting activities so as to develop their capabilities that they may grow to full maturity as individuals and members of society of those living in the UK.
2. To help promote of social inclusion for the public benefit among migrants who are socially excluded on grounds of their ethnic origin, religion, believe or creed or their social and economic position to relieve the needs of such people and assist them to integrate into society, in particular but not exclusively by providing:
a) advocacy, information and advice;
b) education and training in the English language and support with literacy and numeracy;
c) recreational facilities and events involving the local community
3. To help advance the education of the public in the history, culture and traditions of Gambia by organising events
4. To help relief poverty and financial hardship for people in the community of Kwinella in the Gambia by providing or assisting in the provision of education (including physical education), training and healthcare projects in such ways as the trustees see fit.
We, the citizens of Kwinella village in the Lower River Region of The Gambia, West Africa, currently living in the Diaspora after thorough discussions about the plight of our village, came up with the idea of coming together to form an association that would support the socio-economic development of our village, thus the formation of Kwinella Association, UK in 2012. The membership is opened to all the citizens of Kwinella living in th United Kingdom and abroad to be on board to support our village. Every member is to pay a monthly contribution of £5.00 or equivalent to other countries currency.
